Meet Jackie
Hi, my name is Jackie Muhs, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a Community Health Worker with tre Ministries.
My own journey through addiction, recovery, homelessness, trauma, incarceration, and many difficult seasons of life has given me a deep understanding of what it feels like to be hurting, overlooked, and unsure where to turn for help. Those experiences have given me a passion for meeting people where they are, listening without judgment, and helping them take the next step forward.
As a Community Health Worker, I look forward to getting to know each person as an individual and helping identify the specific resources and services that can best meet their needs. I genuinely enjoy researching, problem-solving, and finding answers for people—whether they need help accessing healthcare, housing, food, transportation, mental health or recovery services, or other community resources. I understand that sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing where to begin, and I want to be someone who can walk alongside people through that process.
My background in healthcare, combined with my lived experience and years of supporting people in recovery, has given me both knowledge and personal understanding that I hope to use in serving others. My faith in Jesus Christ transformed my life and continues to guide me with compassion, humility, patience, and hope. I am grateful for the opportunity to use what I have experienced and learned to help others find the resources, support, and hope they need to build healthier and more stable lives.
