Mary serves as a part-time Visitation Minister at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Through her work in ministry, she has seen a gap in effective ministry for young adults ages 18–30. While many churches do an excellent job serving children, youth, and families, young adults can often find themselves untethered and searching for identity, community, and purpose after leaving home.

Mary believes tre helps fill that gap by creating a place where young adults can find belonging, purpose, and hope. She appreciates that tre does not replace the local church, but instead works to help young adults find a church home and become connected to a faith community.

One of the things that stands out to Mary is hearing young adults walk into tre for the first time and say, “This feels like home.” She believes those moments reflect the kind of intentional community and connection young adults are looking for during an important season of life.
