Invest in the young adult leaders and families of Sioux Falls

Each year, tre engages more than 2,000 young adults (18-30) during one of the most transformative decades of their lives through community, leadership development, and Christ centered formation.

*The Ripple Effect is tre’s monthly giving community. Support starts at $5 per month and can be adjusted anytime.

A Defining Decade

The years between 18 and 30 shape identity, faith, relationships, and the way young adults show up in their community. In a season often marked by anxiety, isolation, and uncertainty, the habits formed now influence decades to come.

As Sioux Falls continues to grow, the character and leadership of this generation will shape the long term future of our city and region. tre exists to invest in that formation.

How tre Invests in Young Adults

Community

We host weekly gatherings where young adults build friendships, share experiences, and explore faith in an environment rooted in belonging and trust.

Formation

We strengthen spiritual growth and emotional strength through small groups, thoughtful discussions, topical evenings, and worship gatherings grounded in Christian faith.

Leadership

We develop young adults to live out their faith in their workplaces, churches, and communities through intentional programming, service opportunities, and meaningful responsibility.

When you join The Ripple Effect, you become part of the monthly giving community that sustains this work. Consistent support allows tre to maintain gathering space, host weekly programming, develop leaders, and remain a stable presence in Sioux Falls for years to come.

Your Generosity in Action

Your monthly gift is an investment in generational change. It is a meal shared with a young adult searching for belonging. It is a conversation that leads someone back to faith. It is a space where purpose is discovered and lives are transformed through Jesus.

Whether you choose $5, $50, or more, your monthly support helps ensure that tre remains a place where young adults across Sioux Falls can find belonging, deepen their faith, and grow into leaders for the future.

Stories of Belonging, Purpose, and Hope

  • Mary Kate

“My story with tre is one that I will live on to tell my own children one day and my grandchildren. Why? I want them to know that God brought me through my own darkness and back into the light again through the doors of tre.

In 2020 a friend of mine from church invited me to a worship night at tre where he was playing drums. I decided to go even though I was going without any friends or not knowing anybody else besides the drummer.

At that time in my life beginning in 2018 through 2020 I had the most negative and very intense mental health struggles. I would call it spiritual warfare. Because really looking back, it really was just that.

I was constantly hearing negative voices in my mind. All I could hear and believe in my heart and in my mind was that my future was nothing. I came to believe I had no purpose and I thought I really wasn’t good or smart at anything. What was there to live for?

I never had a positive thought anymore until worship night at tre.

I wasn’t looking for any prayer and I didn’t tell anybody what I was going through because I felt so much shame and sorry for myself. But God saw me and He knew exactly how I felt and the lies that I believed. It was time to break those and set me free!!

Some people came up to me and asked if they could pray for me and I immediately cried. Then after prayer I could literally feel a complete shift in my mind. The darkness that was over me left in that moment because God is good and He sees me!

My prayer is that every young adult would experience the power of God in their life and they too would live free again!

“Before coming to tre, my life revolved around my career. Work became an escape from the loneliness I felt. I knew the way I was living wasn’t honoring God, but I didn’t know how to change direction. Eventually I reached a point where I felt hopeless and realized I needed to turn my life back to Christ before it was too late.

tre became the place where that change began. I found community and friendships that helped me grow spiritually and reminded me that faith is not meant to be lived alone. tre also offered programming that shaped my growth in ways I didn’t expect. Week after week, they challenged my thinking, encouraged my faith, and helped me begin rebuilding my life around Christ and a deeper sense of purpose.

tre is also where I met my husband. Our relationship grew out of the same community that changed my life, and today we are married and continuing to grow in our faith together.

I can’t say enough about how tre changed my life. I will always be grateful to God for leading me here, and grateful for the people at tre who pour into the lives of young adults and create a place where purpose, belonging and hope can grow.”

“2025 was my first year living in the United States, and it was a season full of change and adjustment. During that time, tre Ministries became a place where I felt seen, welcomed, and supported. Through tre, I met so many people who quickly became more than just acquaintances, they became family to me. Being new to the country, those friendships meant everything, and tre gave me a strong sense of community and belonging when I needed it most.

One of the biggest blessings that came from tre was meeting Bailey, who had spent about 14 months in Uganda. That shared experience helped us connect deeply, and from that friendship we started a podcast together called Pearl Exchange, where we talk about lifestyle and culture. Through Bailey, her family has also become a meaningful part of my life, offering support, encouragement, and genuine care. Looking back on this past year, I’m incredibly grateful for tre and the role it played in helping me grow, connect, and feel at home in a new country.”
