D2 Week 3 - God Equips The Commissioned

Through the first two days, you have learned what it means to be equipped in your calling and your confidence but what now? When you have received your calling, and you are confident in who God has called you to be, what do you do with it all?

If you are anything like the people around you, you have probably asked yourself a version of these questions: "Why I am here?" "What was I made for?" "What is my purpose?"

You see, we were each created for a purpose, but that purpose goes far beyond our grades, our schooling, or our occupations. Our purpose lies in a few commands that Jesus gave us before He ascended to Heaven.

Mark 12:30-31

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'  The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."

Matthew 28:19

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.."

At the end of the day, no matter what you do, or who you are, if you love Jesus, you are called to love God, love people, and help people grow in their relationship with God.

Now you might be thinking that you're not qualified like you don't know enough like you're unworthy to tell people about Jesus. But let me assure you, Christ died for all of your doubts, all of your fears, and all of your sins, SO THAT you could tell people about His goodness.

God doesn't pick favorites, He simply equips those who are willing to go forth on His behalf. Just look at the disciples in the book of Acts!

In Acts 2 there is a scenario described where the disciples are preaching to people of all ethnicities. This presented a problem because the disciples did not know every language that was being spoken in this place. But the disciples continued to preach and God allowed each person to hear the gospel in their native tongue. You see, Jesus called them to something that they weren't equipped for and God showed up to make their words heard.

God is going to call you to some things that don't make sense. He is going to call you into uncomfortable places. He is going to bring you to a place where you don't feel equipped. But because you were willing to go in His name, He will equip you.

So be challenged this week, this month, and this year to move forward knowing that God will equip you to GO wherever He needs you and that as long as you're willing, you will stand victorious with the King of Kings.

God always provides for those who abide in Him.
