Summer, Snacks + Serving ☀️

Ready for some fun facts?

In a recent survey of 2,000 Americans conducted by BioLife, it was reported that volunteering: increased a felt sense of purpose (46% of the people), increased happiness (36%), improved mental wellbeing (26%), boosted self-esteem and confidence (20%), and reduced stress (11%)!

So the real question is: do you want to boost your mental health this summer?

If so, you’re in the right place because we’re inviting you to two tangible ways that YOU can make a difference:

The first starts right here at tre. We need help stocking the cupboards! At tre, our heart is to empower and equip young adults. As you probably know, young adults have appetites. And I mean, APPETITES! Would you help us restock our pantry this summer? Even dropping off one snack box or one bag of groceries helps in creating a welcoming space where people feel at home and loved. Whatever you can think of, we probably could use it! But if you need a list, here are a few ideas:

  • Dried Goods: beef jerky/meat sticks, dried fruit, nuts, trail mix, protein bars, granola bars, peanut butter, popcorn, individual assorted chip bags

  • Fridge/Freezer: lunch meat, milk, almond milk, coffee creamer, uncrustables, chicken nuggets/ready-made freezer meals

The second opportunity is a choose-your-own-adventure of sorts…Love your city with us! July 14-17, we have partnered with local nonprofits and organizations to line up a BUNCH of serving opportunities to work with any schedule! We want to personally invite you to sign up for one (or more!) It’s free, no strings attached, and everyone is welcome. So grab your friends, your small group, your coworkers, or your family, and serve together in Sioux Falls! Browse the serving opportunities here!

Whether you drop off a bag of groceries, or sign up to love our city with us this summer, we are so grateful for you! Praying God’s blessing over you and your community (and a boost in your wellbeing as you serve!)
